We were focused on Centers today, so we got through half of these and we’ll finish the other half tomorrow! 🙂
~Reading Center- Find the Similies and Metaphors in Letting Swift River Go and illustrate one of each on the large chart paper!
~ELA- Create an ornament and write a list of as many different prepositions representing what that ornament can do as you can think of! The group with the longest list WINS a Fuzzy! (example: ON a tree, IN a box)
~Math- This one was differentiated based on what folks needed work on. So, you may have done fact familys and flash cards, Greatest Product, or Division Round Up!
~Science- Build a thermometer and rain guage! We’re even building a real rain gauge out of 2L bottles that have been donated to the class and stashing them at various spots around the school for students to check and report back on throughout the month!
~Social Studies- We’re watching a video on the Middle Colonies and taking notes from it!
~Writing- RAFT-
R- World traveler
A- Mrs. Franklin
F- Letter
T- What I saw while traveling in England and France this week!
~Library- Main and Class Library Check out!

Oh, and maybe one of you can help me figure out why Brewster decided to climb into the big jar with the dragon? Or maybe why he has the string of lights I left out yesterday afternoon? I seriously wish he was awake while we were here so he could explain himself…
